About Us
Our company was founded by Salvatore Santoro in the '70s, for the production of Capri sandals, the symbol par excellence of the inimitable Italian dexterity. Today after almost forty years, together with the daughters Veronica and Giovanna (from which the Brand) and to his wife, he guards methods and secrets of an ancient profession, and with passion and tenacity creates luxury shoes.
The beauty of the handmade sandal was unveiled to the whole world by Jacqueline Kennedy, who was impressed when in 1962 she visited Positano and Capri. The tradition of making tailor sandals was born in the workshops in the aftermath of the Second World War.
The imagination, passion, creativity and incredible craftsmanship of those artisans have then transformed sandals, which at the beginning were very simple and also very comfortable, in one of the best known Italian products in the world.
Since then many things have changed, but not the charm of a simply inimitable product.
And even today, the skilled hands of our artisans in Campania create sandals with a retro and unique soul. Inside our laboratory, Italian natural-tanned brands and leathers are selected which, through various processing phases, make our sandals take shape.
On the soles cut and sewn by hand, wooden banded heels and iron cores are applied to preserve form and consistency over time. Soft leather uppers of fashion and design are mounted on them. They are always in step with trends. They are often enriched with small jewels of Italian costume jewelery created exclusively for precious stones and galvanized with hypoallergenic materials.
Today on the market we now boast a consolidated position, distributing our brand in Europe, Australia and the USA.
Like a painter with his colors he paints on canvas, so our artisans with these excellent materials manage to create works of art, an ancient art from three generations to bring a unique and inimitable product into the world projecting itself to modern times and that has the charm of a story that does not allow replicas.
